Abstract:This paper examines the influenced area of a certain regional logistics from the perspective of space interaction, which could make overall analysis of regional logistics which have influence in the internal environment and the external environment based on breaking-point theory. According to the existing breaking-point models which analyze economic interactions among cities, the paper constructs breaking-point track model of regional logistics. In the breaking-point track model, the regional logistics size is integrated, which consists of relevant industries' GDP(Gross Domestic Product) of logistics, wholesale & retail GDP, employees of logistics industry, freight traffic, freight ton-kilometers and possession of trucks. Also, it represents logistics competency in the internal environment, and the breaking-points visually represent competition results among regional logistics in the external environment. For obtaining more comprehensive analysis of regional influence power, the authors construct the regional economy size from city GDP, per capita GDP, total investment in fixed assets in the whole city and non-agricultural population, and compare the economy in different influenced areas of logistics. The paper provides a case study of Changchun city and Jilin city. The authors calculate the logistics influenced areas and substitute economic size for logistics size with the breaking-point track model to obtain economic influencing areas. Also, they compare the provincial capital with the cities of Jilin Province. The results indicate that (1) the logistics industry of Changchun city and Jilin city are under unsymmetric dual-core structure; 2) there is a gap of the development level between Changchun city and Haerbin city; 3) the logistics of Changchun city could meet the logistics service demand of "one hour economic circle"; 4) there are differences not only between logistics influencing areas and economic influencing areas of Changchun city, but also among logistics influencing areas from Changchun city to neighborhood areas and to peripheral areas; 5) the difference trends between logistics influencing areas and economic influencing areas are consistent with Jilin city, and logistics influencing areas of Changchun city are much larger than Jilin city.
